LooLa Adventure Resort (now also styled LooLa Eco Adventure Resort) sits on Bintan's south-east coast at Galang Batang, right next to a fishing village. It was founded in 1999 by Marc van Loo and Isabelle Lacoste and built largely from local materials.
LooLa is best known for school camps and corporate team programmes from Singapore, but families are welcome too. In 2015 it was named Overall Winner at the Responsible Tourism Awards in London, recognised among other things for its Safe Water Garden wastewater system.
What to expect
