Hosting and server log files

The website runs on our own server in Germany. Each visit involves processing technically necessary data: IP address, date and time, page visited, referring page, browser and operating system. This serves the secure and stable operation of the website.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Log files are deleted after 30 days at the latest.

Cookies

We do not set any cookies for visitors and do not use any analytics or tracking services. The language is chosen via the address (/id, /de, /en). Only members of the editorial team receive a technically necessary login cookie when signing in (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Fonts

All fonts are loaded from our own server. No connection is made to Google or other providers.

Affiliate links

Some links lead to booking partners, for example via the Travelpayouts network to Klook, KKday, Agoda or Trip.com and via the CJ Affiliate network to Booking.com, Agoda and Direct Ferries. If you book through such a link, we may receive a commission. You only leave our website when you click a link. From then on, the privacy policy of the respective provider applies, who may set their own cookies there.

Marketplace (berape.com)

The “Marketplace” page (/pasar) embeds the listings widget of berape.com, a service run by the same operator on a server in Germany. When you open this page, your browser loads the widget and the listings directly from berape.com, which transmits your IP address to that server. Nothing from berape.com is loaded on the other pages of bintan.net. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

If you post a listing, you sign in at berape.com with your WhatsApp number and provide the listing text, photos and location. berape.com processes this data to publish your listing (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). After signing in, a technically necessary login key is stored in your browser’s local storage; no cookies are set. The widget only asks for your location if you click “Pakai lokasi saya” (use my location) yourself.

Contact by email

If you write to us, we store your details only to handle your request and delete them after 24 months at the latest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (Art. 15–21 GDPR). You can withdraw any consent you have given at any time. To do so, write to info[at]laujambu.de.

You can also lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority: Die Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz Niedersachsen (State Commissioner for Data Protection of Lower Saxony), Prinzenstraße 5, 30159 Hannover, Germany, www.lfd.niedersachsen.de.
