Doulos Phos The Ship Hotel

Doulos Phos The Ship Hotel is a hotel inside the historic ship MV Doulos, which now stands on land on the coast of Bintan. The ship was built in 1914 and is one of the oldest ocean-going passenger ships in the world.

From floating bookshop to hotel

For decades, until 2009, the Doulos sailed around the world as a floating bookshop, calling at ports in many countries. After retiring, she was brought to Bintan, placed on land and converted into a hotel.

What to see

Besides staying in rooms inside the ship, guests can walk the deck with its anchor winch and chains, see the wall of flags from many countries and visit the original engine room. From the upper deck you look out over the pool, the beach and the open sea.
