Cempedak Private Island is a 17-hectare private island about 9 km off Bintan's east coast and the sister property of Nikoi. It is adults-only, welcoming guests aged 15 and over, so the atmosphere is quiet and well suited to couples.
Its 20 villas are built from handcrafted bamboo and natural materials, topped with curved roofs thatched in local grass. Beach villas sit just metres from the shore, while sea-view villas climb the hillside. There is no air conditioning; high ceilings, sea breezes, ceiling fans and mosquito nets keep things comfortable.
